Purpose of the role

To provide administrative support to the Finance Team and provide an efficient and professional reception for Norbev Ltd by providing high levels of customer service to all incoming and outgoing calls.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Purchase ledger processing – matching supplier invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes and posting onto system.
  • Setting up/amending supplier records.
  • Raising queries with internal and external parties to resolve issues that arise
  • First point of contact. Meet and greet the business’s clients and staff providing a high level of customer service, completing all relevant visitor paperwork
  • Manage the company notice boards and canteen screens.
  • Assist supply chain in processing customer orders if required.
  • Carry out any other reasonable ad hoc duties to provide general administrative support.
  • Ordering and monitoring the levels of stationery for all departments
  • General Administrative support to management and general office duties

Essential Criteria

  • 5 GCSE’s grade A-C to include Maths and English
  • Excellent communication skills with exceptional written and verbal communication skills..
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work within them. Capable of working in a deadline driven environment and the ability to multitask.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to deliver performance.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software
  • Demonstrable level of financial accuracy and awareness
  • Strong appreciation of customer service
  • Ability to maintain accurate records
  • Quick and enthusiastic learner

Desirable Criteria

  • At least 2 years purchase ledger experience
  • At Least 2 years administration experience
  • Experience in accounting applications eg Sage

JOB PURPOSE:

As Floating Technical Operator, you will support the development and implementation of Company strategy, champion best practice in the workplace and act as a driver for change and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to influence change and drive business agenda, particularly those initiatives affecting you and your line, and to ensure that communication becomes a 2-way channel focussed on honesty, integrity and transparency.

Under the direction of the Shift Lead, you will proactively perform technical and operational duties to ensure customer orders are fulfilled while also ensuring the highest standard of food safety and quality. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all Company procedures and policies are followed on the line, whilst prioritising safety, quality, environmental aspects and efficiency to meet the goals of the company.

The successful candidate will promote the values of the business at all times, be highly motivated and hardworking with a will to succeed and improve in all aspects of their career. They will strive to ensure the best for the business and work towards the business needs and goals.

Shifts are on a rotational shift pattern – mix of days and nights.

MAIN ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Respond quickly and efficiently to any unscheduled plant stoppages.

2. Carry out PPM for all areas of the site.

3. Safely carry out all repairs to plant, equipment and services as quickly and efficiently as possible.

4. Participate in the efficient running of the maintenance department with regards to housekeeping, the planning of work, use of tools and the control of spare parts and materials.

5. Participate in the breakdown program for maintenance faults.

6. Be proactive by generating and implementing process improvements.

7. Play a lead role in the efficient operation of production machinery.

8. Be technically minded with a strong desire to develop.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in an operational role within a manufacturing industry working towards regulatory and customer standards.
  • Previous experience in mechanical breakdowns.
  • Ability to complete basic maintenance and replace mechanical parts.
  • Ability to set up and adjust key line side equipment ensuring highest standards of quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive and can-do approach.

Although not essential the following criteria would be an advantage:

  • Electrical / Mechanical HNC/HND/Time served trade or equivalent

Under the direction of the Syrup Room Lead, you will proactively perform technical and operational duties to ensure customer orders are fulfilled while also ensuring the highest standard of food safety and quality.

MAIN ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Ensure batches are produced and tested in a timely and accurate manner and vigilantly for signs of impending problems, addressing any problems promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Responsible for returning raw materials back to storage in an acceptable condition, including fulltraceability and usage details.
  • Responsible for batch make-up and own time management to ensure batches are made in enough time to support production.
  • Liaise with Syrup Room Lead when critical issues regarding product non-conformance, safety and/or production issues arise.
  • Communicate in a respectful, professional and timely manner with Managers, work colleagues and wider team to maintain continuity of production and ensure a safe, efficient working environment for all.
  • Carry out quality checks in accordance with laid down procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation associated with operations and ensure that all monitoring systems required by the Company are completed accurately to ensure that filling conditions are checked in accordance with laid down quality procedures.
  • Manage waste to ensure that wastage of product is kept to a minimum.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

  • Experience in an operational role within a high-speed manufacturing industry.
  • Previous experience working towards regulatory and customer standards.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Desirable:

  • Previous experience with batch make-up and following recipes to exact and precise instruction.
  • Ability to adjust defective syrup batches using technical knowledge.

We currently have a requirement for a Quality Assistant (QSE)  (Rotational shift pattern)

The successful candidate will assist the QSE Supervisor / Manager by contributing to and implementing QSE standards to meet the Company’s business needs and deliver safe and high-quality product.

They will complete important functions throughout the sites Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental processes.

MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Prepare health and safety, food safety & quality, and environmental documentation as required.
  • Manage and test all analytical criteria as required vis customer specification.
  • Manage and monitor traceability elements for production runs, ensuring all details are correct and accurate.
  • Follow health and safety instructions provided and safeguard your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions.
  • Ensure that all product is manufactured to customer specification alongside production.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and practices, e.g. BRC, Customer Codes of Practice, ISO14001, and report on the same
  • To ensure work areas remain audit ready at all times.
  • Liaise with production team to ensure that product being manufactured according to specification and deviations are actioned immediately, with follow up and retest completed as required.
  • Monitor Waste processes and report any deviances from legal compliance.
  • Provide support to department during periods of annual leave. Candidate must be flexible with regards to working hours.
  • Actively participate in all customer visits and site audits.
  • Undertakes tasks and projects from time to time as may be reasonably required of you by Management in connection with your duties.

Rotational Shift Pattern 

Salary  – starting at  £11.00 per hour, with a 15% shift allowance.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that all Company procedures and policies are followed on the line, whilst prioritising safety, quality, environmental aspects and efficiency to meet the goals of the company.

Main Functional Responsibilities include:

  • Set up Sleever in a timely and accurate manner and vigilantly monitor machine operation for signs of impending problems, addressing any problems promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Contribute towards achieving and maintaining a positive team and working environment, working in a cooperative manner and providing support to work colleagues on your line as needed and adapting to change in a positive and professional manner.
  • Communicate in a respectful, professional and timely manner with Managers, work colleagues and wider team to maintain continuity of production and ensure a safe, efficient working environment for all.
  • Liaise with lead technical operator when critical issues regarding product non-conformance, safety and/or production issues arise.
  • Carry out quality checks in accordance with laid down procedures and inform lead technical operator / QSE Technicians promptly of any doubtful or unusual findings. If the integrity of the pack/bottle is suspect, the machinery should be shut down pending further investigation.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience with mechanical breakdowns
  • Ability to complete basic maintenance and replacement of mechanical parts
  • Ability to set up and adjust key line side equipment ensuring highest standards of quality
  • Experience in an operational role within a manufacturing industry

Although not essential the following criteria would be an advantage:

  • Mechanical – electrical experience or equivalent / time served trade

    2. Recognise what needs to be done in order to achieve the plan and hold yourself and others on your line to account for delivering results RFT.

    3. Liaise with Shift Lead when critical issues regarding product non-conformance, safety and/or production issues arise.

    4. Carry out quality checks in accordance with laid down procedures and inform Shift Lead / QSE Technician promptly of any doubtful or unusual findings. If the integrity of the pack/bottle is suspect, the machinery should be shut down pending further investigation.

    5.  Actively investigate faults ensuring root cause is determined and follow up on actions to sustain improvements. In the event of routine/standard breakdowns, address and repair any problems promptly to minimise downtime. In the case of non-standard faults escalate to shift lead.

    Essential Criteria

    • Previous experience repairing mechanical breakdowns
    • Ability to complete basic maintenance and replacement of mechanical parts
    • Ability to set up and adjust key line side equipment ensuring the highest standards of quality or equivalent
    • Experience in an operational role within a high- speed manufacturing industry
    • Previous experience working towards regulatory and customer standards

    Desirable
