This role is for a Sleever Technical Operator. 

Purpose of this role:

Under the direction of the Lead Technical Operator, you will proactively perform technical and operational duties to ensure customer orders are fulfilled while also ensuring the highest standard of food safety and quality. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all Company procedures and policies are followed on the line, whilst prioritising safety, quality, environmental aspects and efficiency to meet the goals of the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set up Sleever in a timely and accurate manner and vigilantly monitor machine operation for signs of impending problems, addressing any problems promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Contribute towards achieving and maintaining a positive team and working environment, working in a cooperative manner and providing support to work colleagues on your line as needed and adapting to change in a positive and professional manner.
  • Communicate in a respectful, professional and timely manner with Managers, work colleagues and wider team to maintain continuity of production and ensure a safe, efficient working environment for all.
  • Liaise with lead technical operator when critical issues regarding product non-conformance, safety and/or production issues arise.
  • Carry out quality checks in accordance with laid down procedures and inform lead technical operator / QSE Technicians promptly of any doubtful or unusual findings. If the integrity of the pack/bottle is suspect, the machinery should be shut down pending further investigation.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience with mechanical breakdowns
  • Ability to complete basic maintenance and replacement of mechanical parts
  • Ability to set up and adjust key line side equipment ensuring highest standards of quality
  • Experience in an operational role within a manufacturing industry

Desirable Criteria:

  • Mechanical – electrical experience or equivalent / time served trade

    This role is for a Lead Technical Operator (Filler)

    As Lead Technical Operator, you will support the development and implementation of Company Strategy, champion best practice in the workplace and act as a driver for change and continuous improvement.

    Under the direction of the Shift Lead, you will proactively perform technical and operational duties to ensure customer orders are fulfilled while also ensuring the highest standard of food safety and quality. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all Company procedures and policies are followed on the line, whilst prioritising safety, quality, environmental aspects and efficiency to meet the goals of the company.

    The role is on a rotational shift pattern and starting salary of £11.00 +15% shift allowance.

    Main Responsibilities

    1. Set up filler in a timely and accurate manner and vigilantly monitor machine operation for signs of impending problems, addressing any problems promptly to minimise downtime.

    2. Recognise what needs to be done in order to achieve the plan and hold yourself and others on your line to account for delivering results RFT.

    3. Liaise with Shift Lead when critical issues regarding product non-conformance, safety and/or production issues arise.

    4. Carry out quality checks in accordance with laid down procedures and inform Shift Lead / QSE Technician promptly of any doubtful or unusual findings. If the integrity of the pack/bottle is suspect, the machinery should be shut down pending further investigation.

    5.  Actively investigate faults ensuring root cause is determined and follow up on actions to sustain improvements. In the event of routine/standard breakdowns, address and repair any problems promptly to minimise downtime. In the case of non-standard faults escalate to shift lead.

    Essential Criteria

    • Previous experience repairing mechanical breakdowns
    • Ability to complete basic maintenance and replacement of mechanical parts
    • Ability to set up and adjust key line side equipment ensuring the highest standards of quality or equivalent
    • Experience in an operational role within a high- speed manufacturing industry
    • Previous experience working towards regulatory and customer standards

    Desirable

    • Electrical / Mechanical HNC / HND or equivalent / time served trade

Purpose of the role:

Under the direction of the Syrup Room Lead, in our syrup room, you will proactively perform technical and operational duties to ensure customer orders are fulfilled while also ensuring the highest standard of food safety and quality. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all Company procedures and policies are followed on the line, whilst prioritising safety, quality, environmental aspects and efficiency to meet the goals of the company.

As part of this role there will be daily elements that require physical activity, lifting 25 kilo bags, moving drums, climbing stairs etc.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure ingredients are blended in accordance with the manufacturing instructions to form bulk syrup batches. Manual handling of materials is required. Testing and approval of all syrups in an accurate, timely manner and vigilantly for signs of impending problems, addressing any problems promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Responsible for returning raw materials back to storage in an acceptable condition, including full traceability and usage details.
  • Responsible for batch make-up and own time management to ensure batches are made in enough time to support production.
  • Liaise with Syrup Room Lead when critical issues regarding product non-conformance, safety and/or production issues arise.
  • Communicate in a respectful, professional and timely manner with Managers, work colleagues and wider team to maintain continuity of production and ensure a safe, efficient working environment for all.
  • Carry out quality checks in accordance with laid down procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation associated with operations and ensure that all monitoring systems required by the Company are completed accurately to ensure that filling conditions are checked in accordance with laid down quality procedures.
  • Manage waste to ensure that wastage of product is kept to a minimum.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

  • Experience in an operational role within a high-speed manufacturing industry.
  • Previous experience working towards regulatory and customer standards.
  • Must be physically fit and ability to lift 25 kilo bags safely.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic Maths skills

Desirable:

  • Previous experience with batch make-up and following recipes to exact and precise instruction.
  • Ability to adjust defective syrup batches using technical knowledge
